🎓 Unit 1 (Level 5) Character and Environment

I’ll be exploring character and environment design through visual development, storytelling, research, and experimentation. This unit will focus on how characters and spaces can work together to create believable, immersive, and visually compelling game worlds, while allowing me to further develop my own creative approach.

I developed a narrative-driven Unreal Engine prototype focused on player choice and environmental storytelling. This unit explored how physical spaces can communicate narrative through visual design, interaction, and sequential storytelling, transforming environments into reactive and story-rich game worlds

I developed a 3D playable concept while exploring how mechanics and historical contexts influence player immersion. This unit focused on blending narrative environments with technical assets to create an engaging gaming experience, taking the project from initial research and development through to a playable outcome.

Sept 29, 2025

I explored the relationship between identity and character by combining traditional sketching with digital modelling to develop a cohesive game avatar. This unit focused on taking an initial character concept through research, experimentation, and 3D development while documenting each stage of the design process.
